On both occasions you quickly identified what the problem was and only carried out necessary work to correct the problem. At home, I had convinced myself that I would need a new lock, but you identified it was just the alignment that was out. Peter and I were really fed up on having to slam the door every time we came out of the house especially in the early hours of Wednesdays and Fridays when we leave super early, but most importantly our neighbour was constantly complaining about the noise!

We came to you for advice and guidance and you kindly offered to come round to take a look at the problem.

Miles from Essential Locksmiths came round to conduct one of his free home security surveys as requested; he was promptly on time, polite and professional with a smile.

After Miles had completed the survey he pointed out that the ground floor bedroom windows were not very secure and that he recommended I had additional security locks fitted.

Upon his professional advice I agreed for the work to be carried out there and then. When it comes to your family and your personal possessions you can never be too careful!

Having been burgled in the past I feel I am quite security conscious, however I was not aware of the potential weakness of the locks that were fitted to my UPVC doors until hearing your security presentation.

Following your advice, I could clearly see the benefit of installing more robust, high security locks which would present a far greater challenge to any would-be burglar. Miles from Essential Locksmiths came over to my home to do an assessment of the patio door locks following on from hearing about lock snapping on the Internet.

He explained fully about the potential problems with the existing locks and how installing new high security locks would improve the situation.

He ordered me five new locks with the added benefit of all operating from the same key.

One evening last week, I found myself locked out of an internal door in my house.

I spoke to my nephew, Matt, who was able to refer Miles Hartzel to me. Miles said that he would be with us in North London within 30 minutes to take a look but arrived within 25 despite rush hour traffic.

Miles explained that drilling the lock would be a last resort as he preferred non destructive entry. His assessment of the situation was thorough. In the end he was able to remove and somehow squeeze through a small, high level internal window, thankfully without injuring himself.

A few days ago, the lock of my front door broke – I could not get into my home.

Although I had my BNI card holder with me – my chapter does not have a Locksmith.

Through another means, my sister gave me some phone numbers of local locksmiths.

It truly was my good fortune that Miles Hartzel of Essential Locksmiths attended my emergency.

He arrived within the stated response time, he was very helpful and so skilful that he opened the door without any damage.
